MEET THE NEED
Without the need for an advanced degree, a certified Peer2Peer Mental Health Coach fills a gap in the mental health field by using their lived experience and training to serve their peers who might not otherwise get the mental health/well-being support they need.

Equip Peer2Peer Mental Health Coaches to make a meaningful impact in the community and inspire positive change. Assist others to identify negative or unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and coach them to identify more helpful strategies.

Peer2Peer Mental Health Coaching
Course Description:
This interactive eLearning course equips you with the skills you need to used your lived experience to help others using the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- CBT is an effective combination of talk and behavioral approaches that assists individuals in identifying negative or unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and coaches us to identify more helpful strategies.
- The training includes videos, interactive screens, direct instruction, case studies, exercises, practice activities, and links to valuable resources.
- This course is designed for peer partners and does not include therapy interventions.
- Enroll anytime, complete at your own pace
Cost: Complete 80-hour course is $750. (Some groups eligible for discount.)

About the Course Developer:
Curriculum developed by an expert
Our training and development curriculum was developed by an expert educator and instructional designer, Dr. Robin LaBarbera, who blends her educational psychology and social work backgrounds to create engaging learning experiences that help you build an impactful team of Peer Mental Health Coaches.
Someone with lived experience
Dr. LaBarbera's childhood experiences include exposure to extreme domestic violence, divorce, frequent moves, a natural disaster that destroyed her home, involvement with child protective services, and foster care. She understands the effects of trauma exposure and what it takes to employ resilience achieve well-being despite difficult circumstances.

We'd love to introduce our curriculum content through a mini-workshop presentation to your group/team, where we'll give you a taste of what's included in the full course.
Give us 30 minutes and you'll see how practical peer counseling materials are for everyday life. We also offer individual self-paced mini-workshops.
Option 1: We'll present to your group/team, live or via Zoom, for $149 per attendee (inquire about available discounts for our non-profit friends).
